Weeds/Invasive Species Workshop + Cleanup
June 15 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
During this hands-on event along the Santa Fe River Trail, you’ll learn how to identify dozens of weeds and invasive species and ways to manage them effectively. You’ll also explore the vital role of soil health and discover practical strategies for nurturing it.
Volunteer steward extraordinaire Lisa Farrand, who has cleaned up trash and removed weeds from this river reach for the last three years, will lead the workshop. She’ll share first-hand experience about how collective action and shared knowledge can transform neglected spaces into thriving ecosystems.
