Trash Talk: Overview
“How do I throw this away?”
You wouldn’t believe the number of times we’ve heard this from our cleanup volunteers. Think: dead batteries, scrap metal, old medications, etc. These hard-to-handle materials can be difficult or confusing to properly discard. We hope this page can guide you on how to correctly and mindfully throw stuff away, all while protecting our water and watershed from litter and hazardous wastes.
And, we need your help! With so many different types of waste and waste disposal methods, if you have tips on tossing something, we encourage you to let us know by reaching out to us.
Similarly, if you have a waste item you’d like dumping details for, please share with us and we’ll research the best options! We’re sure other Watershedders would want to know too.
