Rain Garden Workshop
July 20 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
Back by popular demand! Join us for a hands-on rain garden workshop on Saturday, July 20th at Santa Fe High School from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. The workshop will be led by Aaron Kauffman of Southwest Urban Hydrology with support from the City of Santa Fe.
Between Fall of 2019 and Spring of 2020, nearly 30 rain gardens were installed at the Santa Fe High School campus, capturing over 500,000 gallons of water a year. At this workshop, you’ll learn about the use and benefits of rain gardens, as well as techniques for basic maintenance, including sediment removal, weeding, and general beautification. You’ll also get to explore site-specific soil monitoring research.
