Description
The Santa Fe Watershed Association is thrilled to offer the 2024 NM Climate Masters course! Students will learn about various local and global facets of climate change from experts and from each other through a nine week course starting March 26. Class space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
Climate Masters was developed at the University of Oregon Climate Leadership Initiative and provides approximately 30 hours of programming. The curriculum focuses on climate change and locally relevant interrelated connections between water, soil, food production, consumption/waste, forest management, transportation, energy, at risk communities, and resiliency. Weekly, expert guest speakers will provide in-depth presentations in each of the topic areas. Participants will also be taken on a field trip into the Upper Santa Fe Watershed to witness first-hand the efforts already underway to protect our forest and water supply.
Once the course is completed, students are required to engage in 30 hours of climate-related community service to receive the title of “Climate Master.”
