Did you know the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission is starting the first phase of a new regional water planning effort? This is a great opportunity to advocate for environmental flows–because rivers and wetlands need water, too!

• Rivers and wetlands are the biodiversity hotspots of our state.
• Water planning must be aligned with climate reality and shrinking water supplies.
• The planning process must involve a broad set of stakeholders, including Tribal groups and the environmental community.
• Clean water for people and wildlife is non-negotiable.
